Re: Spec Ops instructors?
Apparently THR requires a login to read its forums, so here's what I wrote:
"I called Mr. Beasley at 6:22 PM Pacific today, at the invitation of a representative of his school. We spoke for seven minutes.
"Mr. Beasley claimed to be a Vietnam era Army veteran who served in a Special Forces unit. He refused to specify the unit. He did not wish to discuss any specifics of his service, citing the deaths of his friends, the general disregard in which veterans were held upon their return home, and a dislike of boasting about or dwelling upon the past.
"He stated repeatedly that his school was about firearms instruction, not about Special Ops claims or other matters.
"He refused to identify any other instructor who had such a background. I believe he stated that some of them did, but am not sure on this point, and in any case I would find it difficult to inquire into it without names.
"I invite Mr. Beasley or any representative of his school to review this statement, and correct any misstatements or incomplete representations of the conversation. I do not wish to misrepresent his claims and statements."
Best,
CCH
